About

Author “David Pendlebury”

Hailing from Windsor, Ontario, author David Pendlebury grew up in a lively household with his parents, Mary and Whitey Pendlebury, and his two sisters. School days at Assumption High School were filled with the thrill of team sports, sparking a love for competition that would carry through his life.

The University of Western Ontario became his next stop, where he earned top honors in Physical Education. Marriage to his wife Margaret (Torrance) brought even more joy, and together, they built a family with their three sons, Jeff, Greg, and Ken.

Teaching wasn’t just a job for Mr. Pendlebury; it was a passion. For 30 years, he inspired young minds and coached winning teams at Fenelon Falls Secondary School. But his drive to build something new never faded. So, while putting down roots in Fenelon, he founded Cable-Cable, a cable television company that brought entertainment and connection to communities across central Ontario. Though the company eventually became part of a larger group, his entrepreneurial spirit is undeniable.

The adventure wasn’t confined to the classroom, though. Summers spent amidst the majestic Rocky Mountains at Chateau Lake Louise fueled his love for climbing. As a skilled mountaineer in Banff, he joined the daring mountain rescue team, ready to lend a hand (or a rope!) to those in need.

Now, enjoying a well-deserved retirement in Alliston, Ontario, for the past 20 years, author David Pendlebury has traded his golf clubs for a pen. With a lifetime of experiences, he’s embarked on a new adventure: writing. His first novel is already a reality, and a second one is taking shape, promising to keep readers on the edge of their seats.
